Hello All,
I have recently switched schools and lost access to all my previous google files. I was able to transfer a lot of my work to my personal drive so am slowly editing the links so that they work again. So if you find one of the "copy" links isn't working for something you want, please contact me and I will update it sooner just for you!
Thanks for understanding and being patient. Christine Partyka

Camp Learn-a-Lot
Traditionally each year I convert my classroom into a "camp" the last week of school. I always set up a a tent, screen house, beach umbrella, picnic table, fake fire, and bring in lots of camp gear to complete the experience. Then we spend the whole week doing reading, math, science, and social studies activities with a camping theme. Since I was unable to do that this year due to distance learning I designed it digitally. I teach 3rd grade so as I was working on it for my students my daughter, in Kindergarten, asked if I could make her one too. So that is why there are 2! The first and last slides are open in your copy to add a bitmoji or speech bubble for directions.
There are 5 camp stations. Each camp station has 1 reading and 1 math activity. You can use it however works best for you students. You can do what I did and can assign it all at once and the students move through it at their own pace, or you can separate the reading and math to create a "Camp Read-a-Lot" and "Camp Math-a-Lot", or you can split it into 5 and assign one station for each day of the week. Whatever works best for your students would be the best way to organize it.

End of Year SlideShow
Here is a fully editable template you can use to put together a slide show at the end of the school year.

Virtual Field Trips
Here you can get a copy of the virtual field trips I used with my students. They were created using Google Slides so that they worked seamlessly within my Google classroom.
Your copy will be fully editable so make sure you change my teacher Bitmoji with your own and create/link your own map "form" for your students to document their trip. If you use the file as is all your students work will get sent to me, but I wanted to keep my form on there so you could see how I set it up. |
Distance Learning Weekly Template
|
Here you can download of the template I made and am using for my students during this time of distance learning.
It is a google slide template. It really helps keep my students and their families organized. I add an audio file each day at the top to briefly explain the assignments for the day for those kiddos who need the auditory directions and prompt to get started! |
Lower Elementary Lessons/Resources
Most of this Lower Elem content I created to use with my daughter (age 5) during this time of distance learning. So as she nears completion of the lessons I create more for her and add them, which means nearly all of these are growing sets. So if you download the copy and then check back in a week or two more may have been added. "I will definitely add to the sets over the summer! So stay tuned!
This is a growing set. Right now it has 3 weeks of content, but I will add to it over the summer.
*Can be used small group or one on one. *Also great for distance learning! |
This is a fun way to practice simple addition and subtraction with young students.
*Use whole group as an interactive lesson *Use as independent work in google classroom as review *Perfect for distance learning practice for families! |
So many ways you can use this Fry Phrase bundle. There are 3 levels and I made 6 practice slides for each level.
*Individual student assessments/progress monitoring *Peer fluency activity - 3 days a week students work on one slide with a peer to complete their practice. *Fluency Builder activity with intervention groups - use a single slide repeated 3 times in one lesson (cold read, practice read, hot read) *Distance learning fluency practice - parents or siblings can watch the on screen timer for the student to practice. |
This 10 day unit on number bonds is a great fun way to introduce, practice, or review number bonds with students.
(my daughter chose the dalmatian theme!) These lessons work great for distance learning since students can complete them 100% independently. There are 8 lessons, 2 review days, and compatible worksheets. |
This calendar set will get you through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year.
Kids love moving the weather pieces onto the chart to track the weather. The counting graphics are a great visual to strengthen those skip counting skills. For daily practice simply duplicate the last slide "Number of the Day" and have the child choose the number to work with that day. Keep adding on a new slide each day your child works so they can see their progress and their learning! |
These are word family lessons to strengthen basic phonics skills.
*They can be used whole group displayed on a screen for a lesson. *They can be assigned in google classroom for independent work by students. *They are also a great resource for distance learning because once students get the hang of it they can be done 100% independently! |
I use these when working one-on-one with a student.
I can use it as a pre/post assessment to assess what words students may have difficulty with. If I need to stay on one list with a student for quite a while I simply duplicate that particular slide and add a date to the slide to document each session. You can also use these to help with review and practice. You can assess a student and know exactly what words they need to add to their "word folders" for practice. Then assess a week or two later to see what words they have mastered, and what words need to still be worked on. |
Digital Games
These game boards I designed can be shared with students and families right in google classroom!
If you share it as only one file where all students can edit, your class can play against each other. If you share it with them where they each have their own copy they can use it to just play with their families! Family game night anyone?! |
There are 30 unique BINGO CARDS! This can be shared right in google classroom as a single "editable" file and your whole class can play at the same time...each student on a different card.
The drag and drop bingo chips are see through just like the real deal, so this makes it super fun to play virtually with your class or with family Let's play! |
Digital Scoreboards
|
These certificates are all in a bundle for easy access for you. In my working drive I separate each certificate and only send one at a time as a student earns it.

10 Things I Love About You
This is a tribute to women everywhere. You do not need to wait until Mother's Day to tell the special women in your life how important they are.
These do assign directly into google classroom, but can be used and sent by anyone who downloads them! ❤️Spread some love to a woman who has made an impact on you! |
Calm Corner
A "Calm Corner" can be a great addition to any classroom to help students learn how to regulate their emotions and manage their own behavior. Here are the things I use in my classroom to help students learn these vital life skills.
*Students fill in a "calm corner slip" and put it in the "hug bucket" before using the corner. The cone is then placed at their seat as a signal the corner is in use. *At the end of the day I collect all the slips in the bucket and document why students needed a break. I use this documentation to guide discussions/social skills lessons toward helping my students with their individual needs. It is also a great tool to help notice patterns in student behavior.

Hands-On Literacy Kit's
For some hands-on literacy fun I made these "Lit Kit's".
I use them during small group guided reading practice to help students verbalize their thinking about certain literary concepts. We use the toolkit contents to orally share what we are thinking, and to visually represent it with a concrete object.
When the lesson is over students are asked to document their learning using one these coordinating printables.
These can be used as an "exit ticket" from the lesson.
